Workshops

Dick’s acclaimed workshop, “The Eye of the Soul: Experiencing Nature Through Photography,” has been a feature of Creativity Day for the past two years at the Psychotherapy Networker Symposium. Click here for a description.

Special Photography Retreat

In late August of 2011, Dick is planning a special photography workshop and retreat at Forest House (http://www.foresthouse.ca), an eco-friendly wilderness lakeside lodge with cabins located in the heart of the Boreal Forest in northern Saskatchewan. In this serene setting—accessible only by bush plane—you can relax, rejuvenate and enjoy the solitude while photographing some of the most inspiring scenery of the Canadian northlands. During this five-day retreat, enjoy gourmet natural meals, vegetable and flower gardens, a variety of flora and fauna, hiking, and wilderness canoeing (with guide service available). After a delicious dinner, we’ll spend a relaxing evening around a cozy fireplace sharing our days impressions and experiences, discussing approaches to photography, exchanging tips and comparing the photos that we’ve taken during our daily adventures. There is room for only eight participants, so please don’t delay if you wish to be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime journey. For information, call 301-758-9411 or email dick@dickandersonphotograpy.com.

Seeking the Silence

Dick is available as a speaker/presenter, using his photographs as a framework for discussing his wilderness experiences. Topics range from meeting the challenges of the wild to “Seeking the Silence,” which explores how to find our place in the natural order in the midst of the cacophony of today’s world.
